Shipping & Delivery Policy
Last updated: · Applies to QuickDeliver Logistics Pvt. Ltd.
This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how QuickDeliver Logistics Pvt. Ltd.(“QuickDeliver”) picks up, transports, and delivers packages within Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. It supplements our Terms of Service and should be read together with our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
1. Service area and zones
We provide intra-city pickup and delivery within 8 geo-fenced service zones: Shivajinagar, Deccan, Kothrud, Hadapsar, Viman Nagar, Aundh, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Wakad. A booking is accepted only when the pickup point falls inside an active zone. The booking flow verifies zone coverage automatically before you confirm payment.
Delivery to addresses outside our active zones is not supported through the standard booking flow. If your area is not listed, contact support — we expand coverage based on demand and rider availability.
2. Operating hours
- Standard bookings: Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM IST
- Sunday and public holidays: limited service; express bookings may be unavailable
- Business accounts: extended windows may apply under contract
Bookings placed outside operating hours are queued for the next available operating window.
3. Delivery timelines
| Service type | Typical timeline | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Standard same-day | 2–6 hours from pickup | Subject to rider availability and distance within Pune |
| Express | Priority assignment; target under 3 hours | Charged at 1.5× standard fare |
| Business SLA | Per contracted zone due time | Breach alerts sent to dispatch automatically |
All timelines are estimates, not guarantees, unless expressly stated in a business SLA. Delays may occur due to traffic, weather, road closures, receiver unavailability, security checks, or force majeure events.
4. Booking and pickup process
- Enter pickup and delivery details in the customer app or via bulk upload.
- Review the quoted fare (base ₹50 + ₹5/km, zone-adjusted) and confirm payment.
- Print and affix the system-generated AWB label with barcode/QR code to the package.
- Keep the package ready at the pickup address. A rider is auto-assigned to your zone.
- The rider scans the label at pickup, which starts live tracking for sender and receiver.
5. Packaging requirements
Senders are responsible for adequate packaging. Packages must:
- Be fully sealed with no exposed contents
- Withstand normal road handling on a two-wheeler or small vehicle
- Not exceed 25 kg or 60 cm on the longest side (unless pre-approved for business accounts)
- Have the QuickDeliver shipping label clearly visible on the outer surface
- Not contain liquids unless sealed in leak-proof inner packaging
We may refuse pickup of inadequately packed, leaking, or unlabelled packages. Damage caused by insufficient packaging is not covered under our liability terms.
6. Declared contents and prohibited items
You must declare package contents accurately. Prohibited items are listed in our Terms of Service. We reserve the right to inspect, refuse, or report suspicious packages. Misdeclaration may result in account suspension and recovery of costs.
7. Tracking and notifications
Every shipment is trackable by AWB number on our public tracking page. Status updates are posted at each scan:
- Booking confirmed / label generated
- Picked up by rider
- At sorting hub or warehouse
- At delivery station
- Out for delivery
- Delivered (OTP verified) or delivery failed
Senders and receivers receive notifications at key milestones via SMS and/or in-app alerts where contact details are provided. Share the tracking link with the receiver so they can monitor progress and obtain the delivery OTP.
8. Delivery and OTP handover
- Delivery requires the receiver's 6-digit OTP, displayed on their live tracking page and sent with the out-for-delivery notification.
- The rider enters the OTP in the rider app to complete handover. Incorrect OTP entry prevents closure of the delivery.
- Riders may capture a proof-of-delivery photo, stored against the shipment record for 90 days.
- Handover to a third party is permitted only if they can provide the correct OTP on behalf of the designated receiver.
- Partial delivery or “leave at door” is not supported unless separately agreed for business accounts.
9. Receiver unavailability
If the receiver is unavailable or cannot provide the OTP:
- The rider marks the attempt as failed and records the reason.
- Our support team notifies the sender for instructions.
- One re-attempt may be scheduled within the same day if operationally feasible; otherwise a new booking is required.
- Repeated failed attempts may incur return-to-sender charges at the standard tariff.
10. Failed deliveries
Common reasons for failed delivery include:
- Incorrect or incomplete delivery address
- Receiver not reachable by phone
- Receiver refusal without valid reason
- Security restrictions at the delivery location
- Package damaged in transit (returned to sender)
Failed deliveries attributable to sender or receiver error are charged per our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Failures attributable to QuickDeliver may qualify for a free re-attempt or refund.
11. Returns to sender
- Refused or undeliverable packages are returned to the original pickup address.
- Return carriage is charged at the standard tariff unless the failure was caused by QuickDeliver.
- The sender is notified when a return is initiated and can track the return shipment by AWB.
12. Unclaimed packages
Packages that cannot be delivered or returned are held at our hub for up to 7 calendar days. The sender is contacted daily during this period. After 7 days, unclaimed packages may be disposed of or handled per applicable law, without liability to QuickDeliver.
13. Weight and dimension verification
Quoted fares assume the weight and dimensions entered at booking. If the actual package exceeds declared weight by more than 10%, we may adjust the charge and invoice the difference. Significant misdeclaration may result in refusal or additional surcharges.
14. Weather and force majeure
Heavy rain, flooding, political unrest, epidemic restrictions, or other events beyond our control may delay or suspend deliveries. We will notify affected customers where possible. No compensation is due for delays caused solely by force majeure, except as required by a business SLA.
15. Business and bulk shipments
Business accounts may upload CSV files for bulk booking. Each row is validated for zone coverage and address completeness before booking. SLA commitments, credit terms, and dedicated support are available under separate business agreements.
16. Contact for active shipments
For questions about a package in transit, use the support section in the customer app or email support@quickdeliver.in with your AWB number. Include the AWB in all correspondence so we can locate your shipment immediately.
